Re-treeing the village

I’ve been gradually replacing some of the cheap wire trees on my 6mm village bases with some trees made from 3D printed armatures by The Lazy Forger. These were printed for me by Sabotag3d who used a really good resin that has a bit of ‘give’ but is otherwise very durable.

The armatures were painted and then clumps of foliage from Woodland Scenics glued on with tacky glue. The Woodland Scenics foliage is a bit more expensive but the colours don’t run. Finally, watered down PVA is applied to the foliage (I use a pipette) to fix and toughen it.
